The wonderful faux bois has been overpainted in the distant past with white, it may have originally been painted white but it has definitely been repainted. There are some loses to the faux bois decoration that I have photographed in the last few photos, but they blend in because of the repainting. The 9.5 inch by 9.5 inch beveled mirror is surrounded by what looks like black fabric that has been painted glossy black.
