Look closely to see the pegged mortise & tenon joinery, a technique centuries old that has been handed down through the generations. Two spacious drawers at the top had a particular purpose, with flatware and linens. Tailored French style molded detail abounds on the cabinet doors, center stile, and especially the apron, which has been carved at the center with a pediment featuring a hand carved fan, rendered in relief directly into the wood. Raised & recessed side panels ensure this lovely keepsake is attractive from all angles. Note the hand-hewn solid planks that were used to create the back side.
