There is a central plaque hand engraved with a beautiful waterfall scene, and two commemorative plaques that are engraved to read:
Presented to JAMES CLARK ESQR. PROVOST OF PAISLEY
ON THE OCCASION OF HIS TURNING ON THE WATER OF THE RYE TO PAISLEY. 17TH SEPTEMBER 1883

The lower plaque is also stamped "WM. ALEXANDER & SON SILVERSMITHS GLASGOW".

In fantastic condition for its age, no dents or damage to the silver, just small signs of use and age, and a bit of wear to the silver plated rim. The wood has a beautiful antique patina, very small scratches and signs of use/polishing, but no loose pieces or major cracks/damage. A beautiful piece in rare form! The rim and feet are silver plate, I believe the commemorative plaques are sterling silver, however they are not marked for quality and haven’t been tested so I am not 100% sure. measures approximately 12 inches wide. less
