Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown purple, bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass flower form bowl. Documented to designer Ercole Barovier for the Barovier e Toso company. The bowl is clear, with purple internal web pattern, with a "Bullicante" or control bubble technique. The bowl is profusely covered, inside and out with heavy gold leaf. The gold clings to each bubble making them stand out, and creating a unique pattern. The body of the bowl has a ribbed design, with scalloped edge and folded down sides, creating a flower shape. Would make a great display piece on any desk, coffee table or vanity. Use it as a catchall, candy dish or ashtray. Mid-century era. The bowl measures 7" long x 4 1/2" wide x 3 1/4" high.
