The parasite wood is a material with a unique origin: it's the result of a parasitic, mushroom-like growth that embeds itself into the bark of a Chinaberry tree and gets its nourishment from the tree’s sap.

This carving owl is in good condition with some wood cracks and chips from age, adding to its rustic charm. A small manufacturing imperfection — a lacquer glaze skip — as shown in Photo 9. The bottom is uneven, causing the owl to be slightly wobbly when touched, which can be easily fixed by adding some furniture pads.
