A stunning antique find in such good condition! The early 20th century English tallboy linen chest is beautifully made of a rich woods and inlaid trim in a Georgian Directoire style. The construction is sturdy with dovetail joints and consists of two chests- one fits on top of the other. It's finished with a strong top dentil accented capital molding. It comes with a skeleton key on a tassel that fits all of the keyholes, but only one of the locks is functioning. Just a fantastic storage piece with so much history and charm!
Overall dimensions are 45-3/4" wide x 23-1/2" deep x 79" high.
Top chest measures 45-3/4" wide x 23-1/2" deep x 45-1/2" high.
Bottom chest measures 43-1/2" wide x 22" deep x 34" high.
Inside top drawer clearance is 39-1/2" wide x 18" deep x 5" high.
Inside second drawer clearance is 39-1/2" wide x 18" deep x 7-1/4" high.
Inside third drawer clearance is 39-1/2" wide x 18" deep x 9" high.
