Description: The brushwasher in brown Yixing clay, the typical Zisha. It is in a free form shape like a half shell. … more The brushwasher in brown Yixing clay, the typical Zisha. It is in a free form shape like a half shell. On the undulating rim, purposely made for brushes to rest, there is a folded ridge that is decorated in dots with two movable seeds. The back of the brushwasher has ridges that meet in the center of the base. It is not signed. It came protected in a hard box that is padded.

I found this object in a shop in a shopping area in Tianjin, the seaport for Beijing in 2018 The shop sold mostly Yixing teapots with a few not teapot objects.
