Introduced in the mid-1920s, Moongleam was among the first pastel colors launched by Heisey, characterized by its light emerald hue reminiscent of "the green of moonlight on the sea." This tazza belongs to the Charter Oak pattern, id #3362, which began production in 1927 within the Hawthorne color line, making it an exceptionally scarce item in Moongleam. The A.H. Heisey Company, founded in 1895 in Newark, Ohio, was renowned for its high-quality glass tableware and decorative items until its closure in 1957. Known for its collectible value, Heisey glass pieces are often identified by a paper label or the iconic "Diamond H" mark.
