Soft paste with shiny … more Unusual and colorful early 1800s hand-painted lusterware pitcher in wonderful pink, green, blue, red and yellow. Soft paste with shiny pinkish copper lip on rim and spout, as well as borders. The colors, use of color and patterns are consistent with early 1800s English lusterware. Translucent when held to light. Displays beautifully!

Measures approximately 4 1/2" round x 4 1/2" h; base measures 3 3/8"; handle to spout approximately 7" w.

Condition is consistent with age and use; there appears to be a hole at the bottom that has been plugged and there is crazing of the porcelain and smudging of the copper in places. Minor irregularities in porcelain and tiny flea bites on rim, possibly from application. Does not affect display. Please see photos for detail and condition. less
