The panel portrays a beautiful girl seated on a wood stool, daydreaming with doves at her bare feet. Her dark grey skirt is beautifully executed, she wears a little white cap and red bodice.
Signed lower right by Wagner. Appropriately framed in an extraordinary wooden frame composed of rosewood, ebony and other materials.
Hallmarked on the back with the impressed KPM scepter mark together with other impressed and penciled numerals & designations.
Exquisite condition. Some minor loss to frame.
19th Century.
The plaque is 9 1/2" x 6 3/8" x 1/4". The frame 15 1/4" x 12 1/4" x 1 3/4".
