An impressive group of four entirely hand blown art glass goblets, showcasing a sculptured display of hearts and whimsical houses in passionate shades of red and green, mounted on stems embedded with spiraling ribbon of colours, the cups are highlighted with applied cobalt rims and bases. Each motif component is separately made, which are then carefully fused together to form the artwork.
Made and designed by the hugely talented and acclaimed American glass artist, Janis Miltenberger, who has the gift and enormous skill to form her medium - glass, as fluidly and freely as a painting on canvas with colours and shapes. Each is a unique piece having a variation in colour, form and expression, typically offered per piece in art galleries, we had the opportunity to acquire them from a private collector, so here they are grouped as a set.
Height ranges from 10.8 to 11.2 inches.

About the artist:
Janis Miltenberger is most recognized for her use of glass as an evocative medium.
About four decades ago Miltenberger first studied clay in college, during which time she was introduced to glass blowing by becoming an apprentice to Richard Marquis. However, discovering the art of lampworking at Pilchuck Glass School was the technique that combined her narrative style within a sculptural form.
Miltenberger’s glass work is included in many private collections. She both teaches and exhibits her work internationally. less
