I purchased this antique directly from Designer Marty Frenkal at his Rituals store on La Cienaga, in Los Ángeles.
It is an early 20th C water pot from the highlands of central america and I used it as an interior planter to hold a large palm tree in my Spanish colonial home.
It is handmade and wood fired, which yields a beautiful green glaze with earth tones.
It has four handles and decorations of medallions depicting indigenous male faces and female figures holding musical instruments.
