This Paul Klee rare vintage 1967 Modernist Lithograph Print " Ancient Sound Abstract on Black " 1925, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Modernist lithograph print was printed in Japan in 1967. It is a page from an authentic vintage artists publication published by Harry H. Abrams Inc. Publishers, New York. It features an artwork image originally created by Klee in 1925 titled " Ancient Sound Abstract on Black ".
Paul Klee ( 1879 - 1940 ) The Swiss born artist is attributed to creating some of the most original and colorful paintings of The Twentieth Century. Klee was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. His work reflects the styles and ideas of Symbolism, Expressionism, Cubism, as well the simplicity of The Bauhaus designs. Artworks by Klee are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The lithograph print plate image is attached to the page with a method called " tipping " where it is attached by hand to the page on two corners. There is unrelated text on the reverse back side that refers to a different artwork image.
The print image measures 8 3/4" W X 8 3/4" H, on a page that is 9 1/4" W X 12" H. This print is suitable for framing.
It is in excellent clean vintage condition consistent with age and very light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
