Made in two sections, top features a large double wire grill door vitrine / curio / bookcase with 3 shelves inside, crowned with a beautiful conch shell inlaid cartouche in the center arch. The first drawer below the top is a pull out / drop front, featuring a phenomenal satinwood fitted desk drawers and letter compartments. Below the small drawers is a folding / flip front, which is a writing table surface, that used to be covered with gilt tooled leather (which is almost all gone now). Bottom part of this secretary desk has two large doors, with 4 drawers on the inside. Make no mistake, this is a $7500+ desk, however in "as is" condition, hence the deeply discounted price, showing moderate age / use wear (please view all photos). Beautifully dovetailed drawers, has the original locks and key. This beauty stands imposing 97" tall, 41" wide, and 21.5" deep, while the writing surface when unfolded is is 37.5" x 18.5", and knee clearance would be 30" in height.
