Just between us Art Deco/Moderne nuts, how much better does design get than this!??

Somebody in Japan was definitely thinking out of the box.
The set appears to be in just out-of-the-box condition with the exception of the one handle that's got a crack. I can't tell if it's been repaired or has always been like that. At any rate, it seems to be strong enough to use, if you dare!
The size of the cups (large, especially by Japanese standards) suggests the set was made for serving coffee, and for export. "JAPAN" is marked on the bottom of the various pieces, under glaze. And speaking of glaze, that's a high glaze over... porcelain (?). I suppose it could be pottery, but would pottery be that white (see the picture of the bottom of the pot)?
A perfect set for display somewhere special -- it's bound to mesmerize your friends! A design treasure par excellence!
The pot measures 9 inches high and about 4 wide. The creamer is 3 1/4 high, the sugar 5, and the cups are 3 high and about 3 wide. less
