This authentic mid 20th Century painting is by the famous and well documented Philippines, Filipino, Mabini painter Crispin Villafuerte Lopez, (aka C V Lopez, b. 1903-d. 1985). Signed lower right corner C V Lopez, is a listed, important artist who started working in the 1920's. He received national recognition and is one of the most prominent Filipino artists to date. C V Lopez's works hang in the Malacanang Palace, the National Museum Of The Philippines, to name only two of many showcases. He worked primarily as a portrait painter, making his landscapes extremely rare. Winner of many awards at the AAP, and other prominent exhibitions. This beautiful painting exhibits warm ethnic beauty., beautifully executed.
