Valerio Adami (born 17 March 1935) is an Italian painter who his art is influenced by Pop Art. He is famous for his paintings with surfaces of flashy outlined by thick black lines, reminding of comics. He divides his time between France and Italy.

In the late ’60s, he became part of the Nouvelle Figuration (New Figuration) movement. Adami began to address politics in his art, and incorporated subject matter such as modern European history, literature, philosophy, and mythology. Adami’s artworks were expressionistic, but around the time of his second exhibition in 1964 at Kassel, he had developed a style of painting reminiscent of French cloisonnism, featuring regions of flat colour bordered by black lines.
