This exquisite hand-crafted 2-panel screen showcases a tranquil portrayal of bamboo branches accompanied by a heartfelt ode to the artistry of painting bamboo, delicately rendered on shimmering foil paper accented with gold. Intended to serve as a striking focal point when hung, it is encased within a sturdy wooden frame. The reverse features traditional hanging fixtures for ease of display. Bearing the signature of the artist alongside a traditional seal, this piece embodies the influence of Chinese aesthetics, and artistic legacy of its creator.
Crafted under the direction of esteemed Designer Lucia Lawrence and executed by a renowned painter in Hong Kong using time-honored techniques of Chinese brush painting with ink, each stroke captures the essence of the subject. The addition of bronze feet on each panel serves to protect its edges, ensuring its longevity.
Due to its handcrafted nature, no two pieces are identical, with fewer than 10 of this particular design ever created.
