Stunning one-of-a-kind antique Late 19th century heavy solid brass box. The exterior is meticulously hand-engraved and detailed brass with remarkable Arabic Kufic calligraphy.
Interior exhibits an intricate hand-carved walnut wood with ornate Moorish Arabesque pattern and elegant adorned natural mother-of-pearl.
The spectacular artwork on this box is characteristic of the intricacy and superb craftsmanship of Medieval Moorish carvings found in Alhambra Palace in Granada, Andalusia. It has the kind of traditional charm that's right at home in any aesthetic from Southern traditional, midcentury modern to coastal cottage.
