A beautiful Japanese cloisonné vase in a soft pastel blue enamel with a large orchid above vibrant green leaves.
With silver plate rims to the top and the bottom dating from the early to mid part of the Showa reign (1926-1989).
Stamped with the Ando dai.. Ando Jubei (1876–1956) was a Japanese cloisonné artist from Nagoya, Japan. Along with Hayashi Kodenji, he dominated Nagoya’s enameling industry in the late Meiji era and continued to do so into the Showa reign.
The accompanying Vase stand is marked with provenance from 1961
