Roman Charity is based off a Greek … more We are selling this 19th Century Old Master style painting of “Roman Charity”. Roman Charity is based off a Greek and Roman story of Filial Piety where a woman breast feeds a family member who has been incarcerated. I believe this painting to probably be French or Flemish.

Condition: Some heavy flaking in areas with some surface scratches, some restorations and overpainting. Painting has been re-lined. Canvas appears to be 19th century and not earlier.
