These vessels are white in color with the teapot featuring a dark pink semicircular handle on the body and small turquoise handle on the teapot’s lid. The sugar bowl features a dark pink circular handle on the lid with a small opening for a spoon. Each piece is marked “Le Ceramiche di Bitossi by Flavia Montelupo Italy Designed by Marco Zanini” to the underside.

Marco Zanini was born in Trento. He graduated in architecture from the University of Florence and furthered his studies in the USA. He began his collaboration with Ettore Sottsass in Milan in 1977. In 1981 he was one of the founders of the Memphis group, for which he designed. His designs are held in major museums and galleries worldwide.
