We are offering a rare showroom miniature sample of the sink renowned American architect and interior designer Warren Platner designed … Read more We are offering a rare showroom miniature sample of the sink renowned American architect and interior designer Warren Platner designed for American Standard in the 1980's. This is the only one we think to be in existence. It sits in its original lucite presentation stand with the Platner signature on the front label.

In addition to his architectural and interior design work Platner also designed a furniture collection for Knoll in the 1960's, and in the 1980's was commissioned by American Standard to design 3 lavatory pieces for them: a toilet, a bidet, and a sink.

It seems the company produced miniature samples of at lease the sink to showcase in their showroom to potential clients. As far as we know this might be the only one to have survived. Our research did not turn up any other.

If you are a miniature collector, or a Warren Platner collector, or a Modern collector, this is a unique and rare find.
