Fantastic 2-Tier Primary Desk designed by Nathan Yong for his company Folks. A streamlined, modern version of the traditional Carleton House desk. Fabulous shape and angles. Desk has two large pull-out drawers and three additional drawers on the top frame. The angle of the top drawers allow for the pitch of an open laptop. Solid American walnut frame and drawer fronts, walnut veneer desktop and small drawer boxes.

Founded in Singapore by award winning designer Nathan Yong, Folks celebrates the purity of wood as a living and precious material, paying homage to traditional carpentry work by Asian craftsmen. Sold worldwide, Folks is grounded in the belief that the simple visual memories of everyday life translates into an element of serendipity in each piece. No one piece is as simple as it seems.
In addition to running his own furniture label and consultancy, Yong serves as design director for Grafunkt, a Singapore-based company that focuses on Asian designers and products. He received the Red Dot Concept Design Award in both 2006 and 2007 and the Singapore President’s Design Award for Designer of the Year in 2008. Yong’s work has appeared in international design magazines such as Abitare, Wallpaper*, Monocle and Dwell.
