Inside the decorative cover of this small antique Victorian era children's book you'll find 30 illustrations, most of which are quite sweet. Ten of the illustrations are by Adolph François Pannemaker. His artwork has a darker side. I wonder if Edward Corey was influenced by Pannemaker's art?
This vintage book was published in 1880. The antique book shows wear consistent with its age and use.
