A flower bouquet with a touch of the Dutch Baroque to it with a thoroughly modern cat who is bringing you a mouse. This fun painting was created in acrylic painton a canvas panel. The painting measures 8" x10". Framed the dimensions are 9 and 7/8" by 12" wide. The black wood frame is a Larson-Juhl frame. A fun send-up to an old style. A great gift or a surprise image for the entry foyer.
Marina Movshina is an American artist known for landscape painting, and for her illustrations of children’s books, as well as her botanicals. Her paintings have been selected for the exhibition of distinguished alumni at Carnegie-Mellon’s Centennial Celebration of its College of Fine Art, the Logan Center at the University of Chicago and the Harlin Museum in West Plains, MO. An elected artist member of the American Artists’ Professional League, New York, NY, she is admired for her skill as a painter and draftsman in the handling of space, depiction of light, and expert use of color. She received a B.F.A. from Carnegie-Mellon University and studied at the Art Students’ League, New York, NY, Washington University, St. Louis, MO, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL. Marina lives in St. Louis, MO.
