Roth, a … more Monumental landscape painting of Lake Garda in Northern Italy by listed artist Edward Andreas Roth (1871-194), dated 1913. Roth, a German Catholic, traveled throughout Europe painting mainly natural and scenic landscapes. Several similar versions of Lake Garda painted by Roth exist, but none of this mural like size —75” wide by 44” tall, including the gilded carved wood frame. Purchased in a Brussels antique shop and transported to the Washington DC suburbs in the 1970’s, this painting is in excellent condition with some imperfections, including two chips in the top corner of the frame. A beautiful, peaceful, nostalgic scene of a bygone era. less
