The top has several visible surface cracks and very slight wear of gold along the very top edge. The inside of the lid has one narrow chip in the decoration at the bottom right, and another smaller chip is at the top right of the open box. The laquer on the inside has some cracking, but is intact. There also are some cracks in the laquer at the underside of the box. The box originally may have had an interior tray. less
