The colors are beautiful pastels on this charming, old, Japanese lamp. The age is unknown but from looking at the old cord, I’m guessing the 1940s, but it could be older. The awesome beads around the lightbulb can be carefully removed to be placed on a new lightbulb when it is changed. There are two wires that can be untwisted to remove the bead and then twisted together again in the back to hold the beads on. There’s an interesting switch on the cord that I’ve never seen before turns the light on and off. It’s not that easy to move it up from a down position so I just leave it down and I unplug the light to turn it off.
This lamp, the beads, and even the switch on the cord are all very unique and special. When I did research I wasn’t able to find any other lamps that were like this. You can research yourself by following the steps I’ve listed below. This is an excellent condition with no obvious chips or scratches.

My guarantee is that I will be honest about my items and fair with my pricing.
There are three steps involved in research and pricing for me.
1. I use an app called Google lens to take a photo of any item. This will bring up similar items, how they are described, and how much they cost.
2. I do a Google search for the name of the item.
3. I do a search for the item by name on this site to learn about other similar items.
Since I am being honest and fair with my pricing, I want you to know about the steps. It will only help by validating my pricing choices.
Feel free to ask me any questions or to make an offer.
Thank you,
