This incredible lamp is a unique, not for the shy, piece of artwork! It's a Capodimonte Italian porcelain piece made with all of the detail, colors, and superb craftsmanship one would expect. The lamps sits on a tiered, ornate filigree brass base and is finished with a large, ornate filigree brass finial. The scenes on the lamp though....just wow!! It's a colorful nautical and mythical world you can get lost in while staring at the details. There are nude mermaids riding sea creatures, nude mermaids fighting sea creatures, nude mermaids playing instruments, nude mermaid in sensual scenes, nude cupids, and one large nude man riding a flying horse. The handles are two nude mermaid busts with their fails seemingly split to look almost like legs. All of these scenes are colorful, high relief with details, and finished with real gold detailing. It has it's original shade which boasts an elegant satin cream fabrication with monochromatic a textured rose motif pattern and is finished with glamorous dusty rose colored detailing: classic hanging fringe, trim along the edges, and 4 vertical trim strips. It is tested and working and ready to light up any room! We hope you will love this piece as much as we do!!
