Vintage Heavy Thick Highly Carved Solid Mahogany Queen Size 4 Poster Bed. Bed has a curved arch headboard with carved shell detail in middle at the top. Head and footboards are squared post on the bottom with rounded turned upper post with highly carved leaf or foliage pattern and ebony and gilt carved and painted shells around base of post. Beautiful carved bun type feet. As you can see the sideboards have two different attachment places to head and footboards to accommodate both queen and full size box spring or mattress. Bed is very solid and in excellent condition with minor wear and imperfections to wood finish throughout. It does have quite a few scratches or marks on the top of the footboard and one side along with small piece of the post has tried to be painted over the finish with some kind of stain or paint that is noticeable and highlighted in last pictures.
