Vintage Gold-Painted Carved Wood Nude in Repose, Circa 1950s. Carved from a single piece of wood in the round, this nude form rests atop a platform base resembling a bed. The figure’s arms are folded beneath her hidden face, as if in a state of ennui. The surface of the sculpture is left with a dramatic raised grain, adding depth and intrigue. Fully painted gold surface. Unsigned.
