Original blue painted dome top oak trunk from Sweden with traditional hand-painted details include floral motif along top and front.
Monogram of KND and date "1804" indicate this trunk may have been crafted to give as a dowry or wedding present.
Wrought iron strap (along front/painted on top), corners, long hinges and large side handles; original key for lock must be used to open.
Restored and waxed, this heavy trunk is ready to be placed and enjoyed.
Signs of wear typical for age include nicks, scratches, cracks, multiple age related separation of wood, etc. This wear does not impact the strength nor functional integrity of the trunk which is ready for use.
