This Andy Warhol Foundation very rare vintage 1996 custom framed lithograph print collector's Pop Art poster " Marilyn " 1967, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The framed lithograph print Pop Art poster is published by Te Neues Publishing Company & Teneues Verlag with the licensed authorized rights of The Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts. It is printed in an unnumbered limited edition in Germany in 1996. It features an original artwork created by Warhol in 1967 of actress Marilyn Monroe titled " Marilyn ", one from a portfolio of ten screen prints.
Andy Warhol ( 1928 - 1987 ) is one of the singularly most well known Contemporary artists of all time. His infamous life, art works, and creative endeavors are like no other artist. He is recognized as the very first artist to use common everyday objects and view them in a completely different way while paying homage to their role in our society. Glorifying the common as the beautiful. His technique utilizing a silkscreen method combined with hand finishing in a signature palette of vibrant color hues make the work stand on its own and loved by millions.
The collector's lithograph print framed Pop Art poster features the official " AW " Foundation seal of authenticity on the poster twice. This is a rare opportunity for true Warhol fans and collectors, as this poster is long out of print and very scarce to find.
The rare vintage Pop Art poster is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a paprika orange matte eggshell finish wood frame molding with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation. It measures 24 1/2" W X 32 1/2" H X 1" D.
It is in excellent " like new " condition with very light signs of handling. The poster print is in " like new " vintage condition. It is brand newly custom framed and has never been displayed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
