This little trinket box conjures up all the class and style of the 40s. Vintage Syroco cigarette or trinket box, featuring Deco styling around the sides and a happy little carved squirrel on top.
Likely from the the Syracuse Ornamental Company (Syroco), an American manufacturing company known for their molded wood-pulp products that resembled hand-carving. No makers mark remaining.
This charming carved wood pulp box measures 4.5"X3"X1.5". There is one light chip in the medallion around the squirrel (as pictured). Otherwise only light wear commensurate with age.
