Fabulous rattan and bamboo sewing basket, fully lined on the interior with padded bottom and padded underside on lid's interior. It is a beautiful and stylish larger basket with an oval shape that mimics a creel; fully hinged lid with bent bamboo handles that conveniently fold down front and back. Handwoven from natural and dyed tortoiseshell rattan weavers, lashes and rattan rope in an over and under weave. The frame is bent bamboo, as is the circular base while the bottom is wooden. On the interior you’ll find a colorful cotton poly blend fabric that is clean, no stains or wear. My thought is that the previous owner had the interior lining replaced at one time because it looks new. In excellent condition; structurally sound with minimal age-appropriate wear. No makers mark. This beauty measures 14½” high with the handles up; 10½” with the handles folded down; 16½” x 13” W/D; interior 14¼” x 11” x 6½” W/D/H; weight 3 lbs. 4 oz. It’s such a gorgeous, large basket that is sure to complement any style and will be useful in any space for storage or display!
