It originally appeared in French magazine of the time. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. It is a RARE image as it is the ist time we have had it in all our years of collecting. Gruau is perhaps the most iconic fashion artist of the 20th century. He is best known for his use of strong contrasting color and his identifiable graphic sense of line drawing and styling. The image is signed by Gruau with his signature initial. In this image Gruau showcases a fashionable diva in a coral evening dress with a black lush poofy wrap. Note her jewels, her long evening gloves and her hat! Note too, her exuberant smile and gesturing.
