This Clyfford Still Abstract Expressionist rare lithograph print exhibition poster " PH - 23 " 1944, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. The lithograph print exhibition poster is published by The Clyfford Still Museum, printed in an unnumbered limited edition on the occasion of the exhibition " Drawing Painting Process " in 2014. It features an original artwork created by Still in 1944 - 1945 titled " PH - 23 ".
Clyfford Still ( 1904 - 1980 ) was among the first generation of Abstract Expressionists who developed a new powerful approach to painting immediately following WWII. His contemporaries included Franz Kline, Willem De Kooning, Robert Motherwell, Jackson Pollock & Mark Rothko. Described by many as the most anti - traditional of the Abstract Expressionists. The work is credited for laying the groundwork for the movement.
