A richly colored and textured expressionist style painting of Paris in springtime featuring one of its many iconic stone bridges across the River Seine against the backdrop of period Parisian architecture. The quiet stillness of the unpopulated scene before the day begins lends a somewhat moody and almost haunting air to this romantic work.
Artist: Little is known about the artist J. Warner other than his link to the post World War II 'New School of Paris' whose artists trained in and worked in Paris 'apres-guerre' (after the war).
