This antique chest features a rectangular-shaped Carrara marble top, … more A French Neoclassical commode with marble top and exquisite brass accents. This antique chest features a rectangular-shaped Carrara marble top, over case which houses four drawers (upper drawer is disguised within the top frieze), flanked within a pair of rounded column style front side posts, a straight skirt, and presented upon rounded front feet and block style feet at rear. Beautiful brass accents adorn the chest all down its front facade; from the nicely decorated knob pulls and escutcheons on the drawer fronts, and the wrapped banding on the top and bottom of the columns. Note that there is some discoloration of the original marble top, which is over 100 years old, which can be seen in the additional images. It comes with three beautiful original keys!
