The vase is decorated with two, finely drawn, yellow and green, peafowl around the foot amid pastel blue, palm fronds and copious, auspicious, branching flowers in brilliant and pastel hues. The auspicious, floral motif continues on the upper part of the vase, with spiraling vines, yellow palm fronds and four squirrels frolicking on branching, plum trees. Both the rim and the foot are accented with double red trim lines. A blue, six character, Guangxu, reign mark is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa early Republic of China era.
