Vintage: C.1940-1949, "Rare," Water Von Nessen (Design), for Nessen Lamp Co. of Bronx(Mfr.), is this polished chrome and black enamel swing arm desk lamp. Given the era, one can tell with the plug and wiring utilized, the era, but this is an early version Of either the a round or rectangular based desk/task lamp designed by Walter Von Nessen for Nessen Lamp Co. Chrome plated lamp with a flat black enamel detail offsets the overall look and design. A quasi, Bauhaus and into the Streamlined, Art Deco era, and into the early Mid-Century period of lamps/lighting capabilities. Very "Mad Men," style lighting. Many adjustable ways to be used. In very good condition, wear consistent with age and use. As one can see the Maker's mark sticker is emblazoned on the back of another sticker, which for whatever reason they placed it over the maker's sticker, one can see the verso of a sticker in image close-up, which we left intact as is.
Lamp Measures 18" or 22" inches, in the open, or closed design, (L-Shape).
Dimensions: 22"W x 8.50"D 14"H. (which incorporates the shade to front of base overall).
