A Pair of Late 19th Century French Napoleon Ill Period Bronze Urns Decorated With Neoclassical Grecian Statuary on Stone Pedestal With Malachite Accents & Incised Gilt String-Work. Rare spectacular pair of French garniture urns in patinated bronze depicting Greek mythology scenes. Plinth stepped black stone veneered bases with vibrant malachite accents. The adorned handles that extend up, have the ornamental head of a swan. Could be converted to lamps if desired. Stunning antique pieces that would be perfect flanking a mantel or console table. Of a period where even decorative arts was an extension of the architecture of a home. Sold by J. E. Caldwell & Co., Philadelphia. NOTE: The last photo shows the 2 bronze urns with a matching mantel clock which I am also selling in my shop in case you are interested in the set. It is NOT part of this sale. Also, the clock is sold as a decorative piece and would need to be evaluated and/or repaired by a professional to insure its functionality.
