This pair of auspicious Foo Dogs, or Chinese shi shi, "stone lions" are sure to bring luck and style to your space. Painted and glazed ceramic in turquoise blue, large in scale compared to most of its kind and era. The male rests his paw on the ball, representing protection of the resources. The female rests her paw on the infant, representing protection of the family and nurturing nature. The taller of the pair measures 17.5".
Order includes one male and one female as shown in photos. Color variation in photos is natural outdoor light versus artificial fluorescent light, as well as differences in photography & computer screens.
