This wonderful, vintage brass doorstop, made to look like a Cocker Spaniel dog, and called "Dream Boy", was handcrafted by one of the most highly regarded American brass companies of the 20th century. It is marked VA Metalcrafters, Waynesboro, VA, copyright 1949 on the back side. It is a beautiful example of a mid-century figural doorstop. It would make a truly unique addition to any canine collection, and a special decorative piece for any dog enthusiast. Excellent condition.
