Here is an absolutely stunning French, Louis XV display cabinet/sideboard with beautiful lacquered wood, black marble top and amazing, detailed bronze and brass ormolu details throughout. You can see that each column piece has a portrait figure at the top, along with floral details, scrolls, florettes at each mirror edge, and bronze edging around all the glass, base and inset side panels. It's really exquisite! The wood looks to be birds-eye maple, in a warmer, lacquered/gloss finish. The piece has three glass doors that open to reveal three shelves. Each door has a skeleton key lock, but unfortunately the original key is missing. You can still open the doors on the edge, which is not difficult. I love that the shape of the piece is not just flat on the front. The center protrudes a bit from the sides and the black marble fits that shape perfectly. The marble can be lifted off, however while in place it rests securely on the top.
Marble is 1” thick less
