Hailing from the northeast of İzmir in western Anatolia (now in Turkey), Ghiordes prayer rugs are characterized by their distinct design elements and historical significance in carpet weaving. Ensuring durability and longevity, they are crafted from high-quality silk and feature an angular prayer niche, known as a mihrab, which indicates the direction of Mecca for Muslim prayers.
