This Really is a Great Looking - Very Rare & Hard to Find Model Antique American Cast Iron Doorstop. Circa Early 20th Century. It is Identified - Documented on Page 156 of The Doorstop Book as "Rabbit with Top Hat" - Book Value $1,000 to $1,250. The Back of the the Doorstop Has the Model Number "94" in the Casting at the Base Area Confirming that it was Produced by the Albany Foundry of Van Rensselaer Island - New York ( In Business From 1897 to 1932 ) - See Last Photograph in my Listing. PLEASE NOTE - This Doorstop was Also Produced - Documented as a Model #89 by the National Foundry in Massachusetts. It is Heavy Solid Cast with Bold - High Relief Raised Features. It is in Very Good All Original Condition and it Displays Nicely. It Still Retains its All Original Paint Brush Hand Oil Painted Features. Because of this Examples are Found in Assorted Colors and Paint Variations. The Paint is Honestly Aged and Weathered Giving it that Wonderful Authentic Old Look that Cannot be Duplicated.
