The patina is a dark muddy green, almost olive color. This piece is perfect for a kitchen to hang pots, pans, dish towels, or hanging utensils, and hold your cookbooks. Even better in an entry hall to hang coats and hold hats. Or amazing in a sun/garden room to display plants. The brass is visible through the protective patina, but we have not scrubbed it clean to remove the fabulous color. It folds flat for easy shipping and storage.
