The pair is carved from the same agate stone boulder having blue/grey color tones with soft hints of tans and an impressive surface polish. The carved details are performed with great skill showing wonderful curling hair along with exacting facial features as well as tail and feet accents. They are both displayed on their original carved and pierced open worked rosewood stands remaining in excellent condition. Dates circa 1940s-1950s
